Read the device label first

  • 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz: em geral, o dispositivo precisa apenas de um adaptador de tomada compatível.
  • Apenas 110–120 V: mainland China's approximately 220 V supply requires an appropriately rated step-down transformer.
  • Aparelhos de aquecimento e de alta potência: check voltage, frequency and wattage with the manufacturer; plug shape alone is not enough.

Use a properly rated adapter

Choose equipment that matches the plug, voltage, current and power requirements printed on the device. Stop using damaged, loose or overheating adapters.
