Leshan and Mount Emei are often advertised as one quick day trip from Chengdu. That framing hides the real experience. The Giant Buddha has two separate perspectives, a land route through the Lingyun cliff complex and a boat view of the full 71-metre figure. Mount Emei is a large mountain system with lower, middle and high scenic zones, not a single cable-car stop. A well-paced trip links Buddhist heritage, river landscape, forest paths and the Golden Summit while leaving enough time for timed tickets, transfers, weather and the long journey down.
